Voting Halted Briefly in Sarlahi After Alleged Double Voting Incident

Kathmandu. A dispute occurred at the polling station in Bhawanipur, Ward No. 3 of Basbaria Rural Municipality, located in Constituency No. 4 of Sarlahi district.

At the polling center in Janata Secondary School, supporters of the CPN-UML obstructed the process after a supporter of the Nepali Congress allegedly cast votes for two members of his household.

A security official stationed at the polling site told Ratopati that voting, which was briefly disrupted due to the dispute between supporters of the two parties, has since resumed.
