Acting Chief Election Commissioner Casts Vote, Urges Public Participation

Kathmandu. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari has cast his vote. He cast his vote this morning from the polling center at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29 Ward Office. Talking to journalists after casting his vote, he stated that voting is proceeding in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment and called upon all voters to participate in the voting process.

Regarding the vote counting, he mentioned that the commission plans to form counting teams based on the cast votes to announce the results quickly. He also expressed the commitment to publish the results for both the First-Past-the-Post (Direct) and Proportional Representation systems by Falgun 25. Elections are being held today for 165 constituencies under the First-Past-the-Post system and 110 seats under the Proportional Representation system across the country. Voting is currently underway nationwide.
