Army Neutralizes Suspicious Object Found in Banke District

Kathmandu. The suspicious object found in Gijara, Khajura Rural Municipality-6, Banke district, has been neutralized by the army. The suspicious object was found last night on the internal road from Gijara to Simalghari.

SP Angur GC of the District Police Office, Banke, told Ratopati that the suspicious object was a hoax planted by a group attempting to disrupt the elections. Following the discovery of the suspicious object, a team including Inspector Keshav Raj Bhatt of the Area Police Office, Dhanuali, DSP Shankar Dutt Tiwari of the Armed Police Force, and Army Lance Corporal Rixon Thapa secured the scene and neutralized the suspicious object with the help of the bomb disposal squad.
