Temporary Polling Stations Designated in Lalitpur for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Lalitpur. The District Election Office has stated that polling stations have been designated in two locations in Lalitpur for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Thursday.

To ensure the right to vote in the proportional representation category for the staff and security personnel deployed in the election, temporary polling stations have been designated at the Nakkhu Prison and the Namuna Machhindra Secondary School in Lalitpur.

A total of 2,049 temporary voters have been registered in Lalitpur. However, the staff deployed in the election will be able to cast their proportional representation votes at their respective polling stations. Prisoners at Nakkhu Prison, along with the staff and security personnel working there, will be able to vote for the proportional representation category from that location. According to the Election Commission's directive, temporary voters are only entitled to vote in the proportional representation category.

According to the District Election Office, there are a total of 269,256 voters in Lalitpur. Among them, 131,549 are female voters and 137,707 are male voters. The office stated that 131 polling stations and 318 polling centers have been determined across the district.
