Qatar Detains 10 Individuals Accused of Espionage for Iran's Revolutionary Guards

Doha. Qatar's security forces have arrested 10 people on charges of spying for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

According to Qatar's state news agency, the suspects, belonging to two separate cells, were apprehended during a special operation early Wednesday morning.

The news agency stated that the group of seven arrested individuals was tasked with collecting secret information and spying on Qatar's vital civilian and military infrastructure.

Similarly, the other three arrested individuals are accused of having special training in the use of drones and attempting to conduct espionage activities using them.

According to state media, during the initial investigation by security agencies, they admitted to being affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. BBC news mentioned that they also stated they were deployed to conduct espionage and sabotage activities in Qatar.
