Nepali Congress VP Sharma Urges Voters Not to Repeat 2064 Election Mistake

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that voters should not repeat the mistake of the 2064 election in the House of Representatives polls. Speaking at election rallies in Okhaldhunga and Udayapur on Monday, Vice President Sharma said that the country now needs the wisdom of 2070.

'If an experienced Prime Minister crashes the vehicle of democracy while driving, you should not hand over the steering wheel to a novice,' Vice President Sharma said, 'The country should not repeat the mistake of 2064 in the name of looking for new faces; today the country needs the wisdom of 2070. We must have the maturity to understand that if a novice steers the boat during a storm, the boat could sink in Phewa Lake.'

He stated that the country currently needs leadership that combines experience with energy, energy with a new vision, vision with team spirit, and team spirit with restraint.

Sharma claimed that only Congress President Gagan Thapa possesses such leadership. He assured that Congress will not allow a single vote of the voters to be fractured.
