Week-long Public Holiday Begins in Nepal Amid Election Preparations

Kathmandu. The week-long public holiday has started from today. There is a public holiday for Holi on Falgun 18 and 19.  

After that, election holidays have been given for Falgun 20, 21, and 22. The opportunity for a week-long public holiday has arisen because Falgun 23 is Saturday and Falgun 24 is International Women's Day.  

With the week-long public holiday, the number of people returning to their villages for the election has increased. Crowds of passengers have started gathering at the main entry points and bus parks of the Kathmandu Valley.
