Partial Influence of Western Winds Affects Weather Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, there is a partial influence of the western wind system over Nepal. According to the Department of Meteorology Forecasting, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are generally cloudy, while the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces have partly cloudy skies.

Haze is present in some areas of the Terai region. Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall is occurring in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki province.

On Monday morning, fog will persist in some areas of the Terai region. The mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy. The hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the remaining mountainous regions, will have partly cloudy skies, and the weather in the rest of the areas will remain mainly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi province, as well as the mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
