Karnali Province Team Inspects Election Security Preparations in Dolpa

Karnali. A team led by Karnali Province Chief Secretary Birendra Kumar Yadav, representing the Province Command Post and Election Cell, has reached Dolpa to review the election security preparations.

Chief Secretary Yadav, who also serves as the coordinator for the Province Command Post and Election Cell, arrived in Dolpa along with heads of security agencies to monitor the security arrangements for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. He stated that election materials and ballot papers are currently being transported to various polling stations in Dolpa via Nepal Army helicopters.

Chief Secretary Yadav informed that the Chief District Officer of Dolpa has been instructed to complete the assessment of security sensitivity at polling centers and the ongoing election preparation work in the district by Monday. Dolpa's Chief District Officer, Junu Hamal, provided information that the dispatch of election materials, staff, and security personnel to polling stations in Upper Dolpa began via helicopter starting Saturday.

The team that visited Dolpa included Chief Secretary Yadav, Commander Dipeshjung Shah of the Nepal Army's Northwestern Division, Provincial Police Chief Jayaraj Sapkota, Armed Police Force Provincial Acting Battalion Commander Binodraj Shrestha, and National Investigation Department Karnali Province Acting Investigation Director Bishnumani Acharya.
