Iranian State Media Confirms Death of Supreme Leader Khamenei Amid US-Israel Military Action

Tehran. Iranian state media has confirmed that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed during the 'major military operation' launched by the United States and Israel against Iran. Khamenei's daughter, son-in-law, and grandson were also killed in the ongoing attack in Tehran. 

This bombing, which began after US President Donald Trump announced military action against Iran, has pushed the Middle East to the brink of a full-scale war. President Trump warned that the bombing would continue throughout the week or as needed until his objective is met, following Israel's missile strike on Saturday. 

According to Iranian media, 108 people died in an attack on a school in southern Iran alone, and more than 201 people have lost their lives across 24 provinces nationwide so far. This human toll is expected to rise further.

Following the assassination of their Supreme Leader, Iran has also launched a strong retaliatory attack. Iran has targeted US military bases in Israel as well as in Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. This Iranian counter-attack has spread tension across the Gulf countries.

Due to the intense attacks and missile barrages between both sides, many countries in the region have completely closed their airspace. The war taking place in this region, considered a vital global energy supply center, risks causing a global fuel crisis and economic instability. 

Although the international community has appealed to stop this conflict, there are no signs of the chain of attacks stopping.
