Bollywood Actor Rajpal Yadav Claims Old Cheque Bounce Case Threatens Jail Despite Future Projects Worth 1200 Crore Rupees

Mumbai. Popular Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav made a new revelation about the major financial and legal crisis in his life during a press conference held in Mumbai. He claimed that despite having work worth 1200 crore Indian Rupees and 10 big film projects in hand for the future, an old cheque bounce case has pushed him to the brink of imprisonment.

According to Rajpal, this dispute originated from his debut film 'Ata Pata Laapata,' which he directed in 2010. He had taken a loan of 5 crore rupees from a company for the film's production, which grew to 10.40 crore including interest. Since the film flopped at the box office, he could not repay the amount, and the cheques he issued bounced. Consequently, a case was filed against him in court.

At the press conference, Rajpal's lawyer, Bhaskar Upadhyay, made serious allegations, stating, 'The opposing party initially agreed to settle the case by accepting property documents and security money. However, when presenting the documents in court, they refused to accept them. Their objective appears to be only to tarnish Rajpal's image by sending him to jail, rather than recovering the money.'

Defending himself, Rajpal stated that he has helped many producers in the film industry for free during times of crisis and has also contributed to the development of his village. He lamented that he got entangled in this legal mess while trying to provide a platform for new and struggling artists.

Rajpal claimed to have branding, film, and other partnership projects worth 1200 crore rupees lined up for the next 7 years. Some of these projects are valued between 200 crore and 2000 crore rupees. He clarified that his main goal is to repay everyone's debt on time and thanked those who supported him during difficult times.
