Western Low-Pressure System Partially Affecting Nepal's Weather

Kathmandu. The Department of Meteorology Forecasting has stated that a western low-pressure system is currently exerting a partial influence on the upper atmosphere of Nepal. Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and the Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, while the hilly regions of the remaining provinces have partial cloud cover. Haze is present in a few locations in the Terai region.

This afternoon, some places in the Terai region will experience morning fog. The Himalayan regions of the country will generally be cloudy. The hilly regions of the country will have partial cloud cover, and the weather in the remaining areas will be mainly clear. The weather in the Terai region will be mainly clear. 

There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the Himalayan regions of the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, haze will remain in a few places in the Terai region. The Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will generally be cloudy. Partial cloud cover will be present in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with the remaining Himalayan regions. 

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
