Israel Strikes Tehran and Other Cities; Iran Retaliates with Missile Barrage

Tehran. Israel attacked the Iranian capital Tehran and several other cities on Saturday morning. According to the IRNA news agency, 40 female students were killed and 45 injured in the attack in southern Iran.

In response, Iran has also started retaliatory attacks on Israel. According to media reports, Iran launched approximately 400 missiles in retaliation.

Iran attacked not only Israel but also US military bases located in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. Iran also targeted Dubai, the most populous city in the UAE.

Specifically, Israel targeted Iran's intelligence ministry, defense ministry, the office of Supreme Leader Khamenei, and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. Khamenei has been moved to a safe location following the attack.

Israel has named its new campaign against Iran 'Lion's Roar'. Al Jazeera, citing US officials, stated that this was a joint military operation between the US and Israel.

This attack occurred amidst ongoing negotiations between Iran and the US regarding nuclear weapons. US President Donald Trump had threatened to attack Iran. He stated that the objective of this action was to protect America and its people from danger.

According to Trump, the US military is attempting to destroy Iran's missiles and end its missile program.
