Iran Launches Retaliatory Strikes Against Israel Following Joint US-Israeli Bombardment

Tehran. Following intense bombings by the United States and Israel on various Iranian military bases, Iran has initiated a counter-attack against Israel.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that the first wave of missiles and drones was launched towards Israeli-occupied territories to respond to the aggression of the enemy and the criminal enemy. Iran stated this move was taken to retaliate for the attack on its sovereignty, increasing the risk of a full-scale war erupting in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, sounds of powerful explosions have again been heard in major cities, including Iran's capital, Tehran. According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, two or more major explosions occurred in Tehran, and blasts were also heard in the western and southern parts of the city of Ilam.

Iranian air defense systems are attempting to intercept enemy targets in the sky over central Tehran and other areas. Missiles have reportedly struck areas housing Tehran's ministries and military complexes, with reports of explosions also coming from cities such as Kermanshah, Lorestan, Tabriz, Isfahan, and Karaj.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attack on Iran was essential to remove the threat to his country's existence. He claimed that this joint move by the US and Israel would create an environment for the brave Iranian people to determine their own destiny and praised the historic leadership of US President Donald Trump.

Israel sounded warning sirens nationwide after missiles were launched from Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country, instructing citizens to stay near safe shelters.

US President Donald Trump announced the start of a 'major war campaign' in Iran to end the threat posed by the Iranian regime. According to a US official speaking to Al Jazeera, the main objective of this joint aerial attack is to destroy Iran's security apparatus and military infrastructure.
