Western Low-Pressure System Partially Affecting Nepal's Weather

Kathmandu. Currently, a western low-pressure system is partially influencing the upper atmosphere of Nepal. Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The remaining mountainous and hilly regions of the country have partial cloud cover. The Terai region remains mainly clear.

This afternoon, some places in the Terai region will experience morning fog. The mountainous regions of Koshi province, along with the remaining mountainous regions, will generally be cloudy. The hilly regions will have partial cloud cover, while the Terai region will remain mainly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the mountainous regions of the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, there will be mist in a few places in the Terai region. The mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy. The hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with the remaining mountainous regions, will have partial cloud cover.

The department has stated that there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in one or two places in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
