Rukum West Candidate Janardan Sharma Pledges Development, Good Governance; Receives Support from Another Candidate

Rukum West. Janardan Sharma, a leader of the Progressive Democratic Party and a candidate for the House of Representatives from Rukum West, has pledged to transform Rukum into a national model for development, good governance, and prosperity. He made this statement during a press conference organized to announce support for him by Narendra KC, the candidate from the Ujyalo Nepal Party in Rukum West.

KC announced his support for Sharma at a press conference Friday morning. He claimed that he supported Sharma to contribute to the overall development of Rukum. CPN-UML has also already supported Sharma. Sharma of the PDP, Raju KC of the Nepali Congress, Gopal Sharma of the Communist Party of Nepal, and Man Bahadur Shahi of the Rastriya Swatantra Party are in the electoral field.

Leader Sharma stated that he has entered the election with a clear blueprint for the comprehensive development of the district. Clarifying his electoral agenda, Sharma reiterated his resolve to free Rukum West from poverty and unemployment. Addressing the general voters, he urged them to stand in favor of development and prosperity.

As the election fervor intensifies, leader Sharma stated that he is not just a candidate of one particular party but the 'common candidate' of all people of Rukum. He claimed to have delivered results-oriented work by coordinating with all political forces in the past. Leader Sharma asserted that his candidacy is indispensable for the transformation of Rukum West and urged voters to unite for development.

He believes that his agenda to make Rukum economically prosperous and socially just is the main basis for victory. He said, "I have a vision to make Rukum a model district in the country. Our fight is against poverty and unemployment. My main goal is to brighten the future of Rukum by ensuring good governance and social justice. I heartily appeal to all honorable voters to vote for the 'eye' symbol in the upcoming election to win the development and social justice of Rukum."

Meanwhile, Narendra KC, the candidate from the Ujyalo Nepal Party, announced the withdrawal of his candidacy and declared support for Janardan Sharma, the leader of the Progressive Democratic Party. KC stated that he made this decision based on the suggestions of the voters and the greater interest of Rukum. KC clarified that the agendas to make Rukum prosperous do not belong to any specific individual but are common. He called upon other small parties and independent candidates to also stand in support of Sharma.

He said, "Voters suggested that even if they liked my party and leadership, implementing the agenda might be difficult due to the current vote share. They urged me to collaborate with those whose agendas align. Among all current candidates in Rukum West, Janardan Sharma is the strongest, most established, and most experienced leader. Supporting him with a common consensus is the current necessity."

KC accepted Sharma as the 'common leadership' and emphasized the need for all forces to unite for the development of Rukum.
