Nepali Congress Deputy President Urges Political Parties to Keep Election Campaign Focused and Civilized

Nawalparasi. Nepali Congress Deputy President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has urged all political parties to make election campaigning civilized and issue-focused.

Addressing a rally in Dumkibas, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), Deputy President Sharma stated that democratic competition must be based on ideas, plans, and behavior. "The country cannot be run with a fabricated style like a movie script; running the nation requires an expert and experienced team," he said.

Stating that no single individual can change the country, he emphasized the need for collective leadership and honesty. Deputy President Sharma clarified that the Nepali Congress believes in institutional and participatory leadership, not personality-centric politics.

"The country is not changed by one person; change is possible only through collectivity, responsibility, and honesty," he stated. "We do not go around saying that if a certain person comes forward, everything will be fine; we must build the nation together."

Mentioning that delays in development projects will be ended, he said that an environment will be created to complete projects on time through procedural facilitation.

"We must legally and procedurally manage construction entrepreneurs who do not work on time, expedite work completion, and ensure that honest constructors are respected by the nation," he said.

He mentioned that Congress is ready to have an open debate on the manifestos and future plans published by various parties, expressing the view that policy competition strengthens democracy. "We are ready to debate any leader regarding the commitments and plans made by the parties," he said.
