South Africa Dominates West Indies by 9 Wickets in T20 World Cup Super 8 Clash

Ahmedabad. South Africa registered their second consecutive victory in the tournament by defeating the home team West Indies by 9 wickets in the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup held on Thursday. South Africa secured an easy win over the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, thanks to excellent performances from both their bowlers and batters.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, South Africa restricted the West Indies to 176 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Although Romario Shepherd contributed an unbeaten 52 runs and Jason Holder scored 49 runs for the West Indies, other batters failed to perform. In bowling, South Africa's Lungi Ngidi took 3 wickets, while Kagiso Rabada and Corbin Bosch took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a modest target of 177, South Africa completed the target in just 16.1 overs, losing only 1 wicket. Captain Aiden Markram played an explosive innings of an unbeaten 82 runs for South Africa's victory. He was strongly supported by Rassie van der Dussen, who scored 45 runs. 

With this victory, South Africa has further secured its position in the Super 8 group.
