Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Vows Probe Into All Post-1990 Scandals If His Party Forms Government

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that a Congress-led government formed after the elections will investigate and take action against all scandals since 1990 (2046 BS).

Party President Thapa made this statement while addressing a large gathering organized by the Congress in Surkhet on Thursday.

'Not only will we investigate every alleged and rumored scandal that occurred after 2046 BS, but if a member of my own family is involved in that scandal, not a single person will be spared,' said President Thapa. 'I say this as the Congress President during the five-year term—not a single citizen should hear that a scandal was committed by a Nepali Congress government.'

He claimed that they have come to change those things and asserted that the next five years would be a year of change and transformation.
