Man in Brazil Claims Exploding Mobile Phone Saved Him From Dog Attack

While a mobile phone exploding in one's pocket is usually considered an accident, for a man in Brazil, this incident turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Ronaldo, a resident of Cascavel in the Brazilian state of Paraná, claims his life was saved by his mobile phone when he was attacked by two vicious dogs.

Ronaldo, who works as an auto mechanic, was suddenly targeted by two large dogs while heading to work early this month. The dogs attacked him severely. They were so ferocious that they aimed for Ronaldo's throat. As he struggled to defend himself, one dog tried to bite his leg, but its teeth sank into the mobile phone in Ronaldo's pocket.

As soon as the dog bit down, the mobile phone's battery exploded. This unexpected explosion scared the dogs away, giving Ronaldo a chance to escape.

'The dog tried to lunge at my throat, and I tried to stop it. Then, when it bit my leg, its teeth sank into the mobile phone in my pocket, and the battery exploded. That moment was terrifying, but that very mobile phone saved my life,' Ronaldo recounted the incident. He had only purchased that mobile phone 20 days prior.

When the phone exploded, Ronaldo's shorts were burned, and he sustained some minor burn injuries on his leg. After the dogs fled in fear following the explosion, he was able to immediately notify the police. 

Despite such a high-risk incident, Ronaldo decided not to file a legal complaint against the dog owners. He chose not to press charges after the dog owners apologized for the incident and agreed to cover Ronaldo's medical expenses and compensate for the destroyed mobile phone.
