Two Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Sunsari District

Sunsari. Two people have died in separate road accidents in two different locations in Sunsari. Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office informed that 32-year-old Bijay Rishidev of Duhabi Municipality-5 and 47-year-old Girijananda Sah of Saptari Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-6 have died.

Police stated that Rishidev was critically injured when his motorcycle, bearing registration number Ko 25 Pa 149, went out of control and crashed on the internal road at Guptatol, Barahakshetra Municipality-11 this morning. He died during treatment. Dipen Rishidev of Duhabi-5 was injured in the same accident. DSP Khadka stated that he is undergoing treatment.

Similarly, pedestrian Girijananda Sah, 47, of Saptari Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-6, died after being hit by a car on the Koshi Highway at Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-13 last night. Police reported that Sah, who was crossing the road, was hit by a car with registration number Pradesh 1-001-001 Cha 7505 coming from Biratnagar towards Itahari. The car also hit a tempo with registration number Pra 1-02-003 Ha 4898 going in the same direction after losing control.

Basanta Ghising, 44, the tempo driver from Itahari-20, Premkumar Gurung, 59, a passenger in the tempo, and Vicky Bishwakarma, 22, the car driver from Itahari-12, sustained minor injuries in the collision. The District Police Office stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
