Nepali Congress to Hold Major Election Rally in Pokhara Ahead of By-elections

Pokhara. Targeting the House of Representatives by-elections scheduled for Falgun 21, the Nepali Congress is set to hold an election rally in Pokhara. The Kaski district committee of the Congress will organize the rally at Amar Singh Chowk in Pokhara on Friday. The rally will feature addresses by Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa and Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma, and will be attended by direct election candidates from all 18 constituencies of the Gandaki Province.

“The rally is organized by Kaski, but Kaski is the capital district of Gandaki,” said President Kishordatta Baral. “Candidates from all constituencies will come to Pokhara that day.” Deepak Gurung (Maila), coordinator of the management committee, informed that preparations for the assembly are in the final stages. According to him, the Congress expects around 15,000 participants at the mass meeting.

“About 100 vehicles will arrive from various villages for the mass meeting. Stage construction is underway at Amar Singh Chowk,” he said. “We expect more than 15,000 people to participate in the assembly.”

President Baral states that the transformed Nepali Congress prioritizes institutional systems, good governance, transparency, and accountability. “The changed Congress will provide an opportunity to present a results-oriented action plan and a clear vision to the public, not just slogans,” he says. “We are firmly resolved to strengthen the campaign for national transformation.”
