Voter Education Workshop Held for Muslim Women in Banke Ahead of Upcoming Elections

Banke. Voter education orientation was conducted for Muslim women targeting the upcoming 'House of Representatives Election 2082'. The Information and Human Rights Research Center Nepalgunj, with support from the Women, Law and Development Forum Kathmandu, provided orientation on voter education to Muslim women in Birtagaun, Nepalgunj-21.

Participating women in the orientation stated the necessity of voter education because, despite participating in various elections, they lacked proper knowledge about voting, leading to invalid votes.

The orientation was facilitated by Rabindra Gyawali. Sample voting was also conducted for the participating women as practice for voting. Approximately 65 Muslim women participated in the orientation.
