Nepal Oil Corporation Boosts LPG Imports Ahead of Elections to Ensure Supply

Kathmandu. In view of the upcoming elections, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the import of cooking LPG gas. The corporation has stated that it is loading gas at a high rate from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to prevent any shortage in the market during the election period.

According to the NOC, the highest volume of gas for this year was loaded yesterday (Tuesday). The NOC informed that 138 bullets of gas were loaded in a single day on Tuesday. This volume is equivalent to approximately 173,800 cylinders.

Nepal Oil Corporation's Executive Director, Chandika Bhatta, has urged consumers to remain assured, stating that gas supply will remain regular in this manner even during the election period. The corporation has maintained that its storage and distribution system is robust to prevent the creation of artificial shortages in the market.
