Janata Samajbadi Party Seeks Explanation from Five Elected Officials in Sarlahi for Alleged Anti-Party Activities

Sarlahi. The Sarlahi District Committee of the Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal has demanded a written clarification within 24 hours from five local level elected representatives accused of obstructing the party's official candidate in the House of Representatives election.

The letter issued by the District Committee stated that complaints were received alleging that these representatives supported and assisted candidates from other political parties against the party's decision. Based on this, they have been given an ultimatum to present a satisfactory response with reasons within the stipulated time.

The letter also warned that if clarification is not received within the specified period or if the response received is not satisfactory, strict action will be taken according to the party's bylaws. It was clarified that elected representatives have a greater responsibility to adhere to party discipline and decisions, and activities contrary to the organization's interests will not be tolerated.

The representatives sought clarification from are Prakash Gupta, Ward Chairperson of Godaita Municipality-5; Dinesh Sah, Ward Chairperson of Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-3; Ram Biswas Rai, Ward Chairperson of Barahathwa Municipality-17; Rameshwar Rai, Ward Chairperson of Haripurwa Municipality-8; and Surendra Mahato, Ward Chairperson of Haripurwa Municipality-9.

According to officials of JSP Nepal Sarlahi, if the activities against the party's official decision are confirmed, further steps will be taken based on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee.
