Nepal Stock Exchange Index Rises by Over 21 Points Amid Broad Market Gains

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 21.62 points to settle at 2,638.60 points.

Today, a total turnover of NPR 4.2324 billion was recorded from the trading of 9.364938 million shares of 328 companies across 49,093 transactions, according to NEPSE.

Sub-indices of all groups increased. Banking rose by 0.30%, Development Bank by 1.11%, Finance by 0.64%, Hotel and Tourism by 2.02%, Hydropower by 1.27%, and Investment by 0.61%. Life Insurance increased by 0.70%, Manufacturing and Processing by 1.76%, Microfinance by 0.79%, Mutual Fund by 0.09%, Non-Life Insurance by 0.52%, Trade by 1.49%, and Others by 0.33%.

Salpa Development Bank Limited's share price hit a positive circuit today. Among the biggest losers, Nepal SBI Bank Limited's share price decreased by 3.58%.

In terms of transaction value, SY Panel Nepal Limited saw the highest trading volume today, amounting to NPR 377.29132 million. In terms of the number of shares traded, 697,148 shares of Aakhukhola Hydropower Company Limited were bought and sold, NEPSE reported.
