Western Disturbance Partially Affects Nepal, Weather Forecast Indicates Variable Conditions

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that a partial influence of the Western Disturbance is currently affecting Nepal. Due to this influence, there is partial cloud cover in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of the Karnali Province and across the country. The weather in the remaining areas is mainly clear.

This afternoon, fog will persist in some parts of the Terai region. Generally cloudy conditions will prevail in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and the Himalayan regions of the remaining provinces. Partial cloud cover will be observed in the remaining hilly areas. The weather in the Terai region will remain mainly clear. 

There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by snowfall in a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.  

Tonight, mist will be present in a few places in the Terai region. Partial cloud cover will be seen in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and the weather will be mainly clear in the remaining areas.

The Department has indicated a possibility of light rain accompanied by snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
