Miss Grand Nepal 2025 Winner Jessica Singh Thakuri Resigns Citing Abuse and Pressure

Kathmandu. The winner of 'Miss Grand Nepal 2025', Jessica Singh Thakuri, has officially relinquished her title. In a statement released via the social media platform Instagram, she stated that she was forced to step down due to abuse, continuous pressure, and serious concerns regarding her mental and physical health.

She mentioned that this decision was made with deep pain but clear understanding. While stating that winning the title was the proudest moment of her life, she said it was necessary to relinquish the post to protect her dignity, values, and self-respect. She stated, 'The experience with the national organizing body became the most difficult and heartbreaking chapter of the journey.'

'During the international participation, she had to endure abuse and even threats,' she further stated - 'Continuous mental pressure has seriously affected her health.'

Stating that she remained silent for a long time hoping the situation would improve, she mentioned that she ultimately concluded the resignation because no crown holds a greater value than peace, health, and self-identity.

Jessica expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and trusted her on the international stage and announced that she would soon release a detailed video about the reasons for her resignation and her experiences.
