Consensus Reached in Parsa to Bring Perpetrators of Shripur Incident to Justice

Birgunj. At an all-party and multi-stakeholder meeting held in Parsa on Sunday, it was agreed that the local administration will bring the guilty parties involved in the incident that occurred in Shripur, Birgunj Metropolitan City-11, and the subsequent events arising from it, under the legal framework.

The meeting, held today at the District Administration Office under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, decided to take the complaint from the victim's side, complete the necessary procedures as soon as possible, and that religious leaders will facilitate bringing such culprits under the legal purview.

According to CDO Dahal, the meeting decided to immediately bring those who incite/spread propaganda that disturbs religious and social harmony over personal incidents/accidents, make them viral on social media, or broadcast hate speech, under the scope of action according to cyber law and prevailing laws.

The meeting also decided that in the coming days, all civil society members, political parties, media personnel, religious and social leaders, and all elected representatives present at the meeting will publish statements from their respective organizations and bodies to maintain religious and social harmony.

Parsa Police Chief Narendra Raj Subedi expressed commitment to bringing the culprits under the legal framework. Representatives from various parties and leaders from the religious sector participated in the meeting.
