24 Killed in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal in Last 24 Hours

A total of 24 people have died in separate road accidents over the past 24 hours.

In Dhading, 19 people died when a bus with registration number Ga. 2 Kha 1421, traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, lost control and plunged about 200 meters down the road into the Trishuli River near Bhaisigouda in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5 last night.

 Among the 25 injured, 14 are being treated at the National Trauma Center in Kathmandu, 10 at the National Medical College in Kalanki, and 1 at the Teaching Hospital in Malekhu.

Similarly, in Nawalparasi East, a motorcycle rider, Bizen Pulami (18), died after being hit by a bus with registration number Lu. 2 Kha 4461 while riding motorcycle Na. 63 Pa 9390 in front of Janaki Gas in Gaindakot Municipality-7.

He died during treatment at the New Medical College in Bharatpur. One other person injured in the accident is being treated at the same hospital. The police have taken the bus driver into custody.

In Bardiya's Bansagadhi Municipality-3, a cyclist, Rajbabu Khan (40), died after being hit by a motorcycle with registration number Ve. 11 Pa 8453 at Mankhola. He died during treatment at Kohalpur Medical College, Banke, after being seriously injured. The police have taken the motorcycle driver into custody.

Furthermore, in Bardiya's Rajapur Municipality-8, the driver of a motorcycle, Lohar Man Tharu (56), died when the vehicle with registration number Se. 5 Pa 9838, traveling from Gulariya to Rajapur, went out of control and crashed at Bhokpur.

He died during treatment at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj, Banke, after being seriously injured.

In Kalikot's Tilagufa Municipality-1, a tractor with registration number Su.Pa.Pra 01-002 Ta 7178, traveling from Kalikot towards Nagmagar, met with an accident. The driver, Bhim Nepali (22), died during treatment at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla.

In Doti's Bogatan Phudsil Rural Municipality-3, Juna Devi Saud (66), a passenger in a Bolero vehicle with registration number Su.Pa.Pra. 03-001 Cha 0014, traveling from Melta to Dipayal, died when the vehicle crashed. She died during treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi after being seriously injured.

Three people, including the Bolero driver, are being treated at Maya Metro Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

 The Central News Desk of the Police Headquarters stated that the local police are conducting necessary investigations into the accidents.
