Tribeni Area in Jumla Becomes Destination for Religious Tourism

Jumla. The Tribeni area in Tilagaupalika-4, Jumla, has become a destination for religious tourism. Ward Chairman Bhadra Bir Sarki informed that Tribenidham is a preferred choice for those embarking on religious pilgrimages.

Tribenidham, located at the confluence of the Tila River and the Bheri River, is particularly favored by domestic tourists. It has been named Tribeni Dham because it is the meeting point of two rivers. Ward Chairman Sarki stated, "Tribenidham is not just a famous religious site in Tilagaupalika, but it is well-known throughout the district."

According to Ward Chairman Sarki, the rural municipality has prepared a master plan to connect Tribenidham with domestic and international tourism. To make Tribenidham more attractive, a dharamshala (pilgrim rest house) has also been constructed with financial assistance from the Tourism Board. Gorakh Bahadur Shahi, a local resident of Tilagaupalika-4, mentioned that tourists visit the Tribeni area from other local levels of the district.

Rural Municipality Chairman Motilal Rokaya stated that since Tribeni is a historical religious site, a master plan has been implemented to increase the number of religious tourists. Tribenidham is a historical religious site, and Tribenidham is the destination for many undertaking religious journeys. The number of visitors during the religious pilgrimage in Shrawan is significant at Tribenidham.

A religious fair is held here during Shivaratri. Rural Municipality Chairman Rokaya expressed that there is potential to develop the Tribenidham area further and make it a major destination in the country for religious tourists.
