Women Lead District Administration Offices in 11 Districts Ahead of Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. Women are currently leading the District Administration Offices in 11 districts under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The House of Representatives election is scheduled for Falgun 21. The District Administration Offices will command the staff and security during the election.

Eleven districts where women are leading the staff and security arrangements during the election period.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Chief District Officers (CDOs) are currently women in 4 districts of Koshi Province, 1 in Bagmati Province, 2 in Gandaki Province, 2 in Lumbini Province, and 1 each in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

In Koshi's Sankhuwasabha, Srijana Thapaliya, in Tehrathum, Bandana Rai, in Solukhumbu, Lilakumari KC Pandey, and in Khotang, Rekha Kandel are the Chief District Officers.

In Bagmati Province's Sindhuli district, Skim Shrestha is the Chief District Officer. In Gandaki Province, Rudradevi Sharma in Kaski and Ajita Sharma in Mustang are the Chief District Officers.

In Lumbini Province, Binu Bajracharya Kunwar in Palpa and Sita Pariyar in East Rukum, in Karnali's Dolpa, Junu Hamal Dhakal, and in Sudurpaschim's Doti, Kalpana Ghimire Nepal are serving as Chief District Officers.
