Kathmandu –The Joint Students Union this morning took out a rally to mark the 11th Republican Day.
The students' rally started from Brikutimandap and went through Putalisadak before converging into a corner meeting at Shanti Garden in Ratnapark, All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) Vice Chairman Surendra Basnet said.
The students held various placards with different slogans as 'Republic's Gift, Happy Nepal, Prosperous Nepal' and 'Republican Day'.
Addressing the rally NSU Chairman Nain Singh Mahar, ANNISU – R Chair Ranjit Tamang, ANNFSU Vice Chairperson Sunita Baral, ANNFSU – Sixth Chairman Bimal Pokharel hailed the crucial role played by students in bringing republican set up in Nepal and added that republican system must fulfill martyrs' dreams.
