Three Hezbollah Commanders Killed in Israeli Airstrikes in Eastern Lebanon

Three commanders of Lebanon's Hezbollah group were killed and eight others were injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes in eastern Lebanon.

Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that 10 civilians were killed and more than 30 injured in an airstrike on a building in Riyaq, eastern Lebanon.

Citing security sources, Xinhua identified the three deceased Hezbollah commanders as Hussein Mohammad Yaghi, Ali Zaid Al-Moussawi, and Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Moussawi.

Hezbollah issued a statement mourning Commander Hussein Mohammad Yaghi, stating that Hussein was "martyred in the defense of Lebanon and its people."

Citing Lebanese security sources, Xinhua reported that Israeli fighter jets carried out six airstrikes on areas in eastern Lebanon, including Hezbollah sites.

A ceasefire agreement has been in effect between Hezbollah and Israel since November 27, 2024. Despite this agreement, the Israeli army has occasionally attacked Lebanon.
