Three Dead in Head-on Motorcycle Collision on Dhangadhi-Dadeldhura Highway

Dhangadhi. Three people were killed in a collision between two motorcycles on the Vanadevi road section in Attariya, Kailali, along the Dhangadhi-Dadeldhura (Bhimdatta) highway on Friday evening.

The Area Police Office, Malakheti (Attariya), stated that the three injured individuals in the motorcycle collision died while being transported to Dhangadhi for treatment.

Police Deputy Superintendent Ran Bahadur Chand identified one of the deceased as 22-year-old Harish Oli from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-2, the driver of motorcycle with registration number SuPra 01-0103187. Jeevan Pathak, 23, from Godawari Municipality-6, Lalpur, who was riding pillion on the same motorcycle, was seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment.

Additionally, Yogendra Shah, the driver of motorcycle with registration number SuPra 01-009P7781, aged approximately 26 from Godawari Municipality-1, and Harish Parki, approximately 23, who was riding pillion, have died.

Police Deputy Superintendent Chand said, "The nature of the scene suggests that the motorcycles were being driven at speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour; parts, including wheels, were scattered. Yogendra Shah had previously been injured in two motorcycle accidents."

Police reported that the deceased Oli was returning to Dhangadhi after attending a wedding in Godawari when the accident occurred.
