Nepal's Ambassador to South Korea Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe Receives 'Best Ambassador Award 2026'

Seoul. Nepal's Ambassador to South Korea, Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe, has been presented with the 'Best Ambassador Award 2026' in Korea.

Among the 116 diplomatic missions and embassies from various countries in South Korea, ambassadors from three nations were specially honored at the '2026 Best Ambassador Award' program. The honored ambassadors include Her Excellency Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe, Nepal's Ambassador to Korea, the Ambassador of Peru, and the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan.

She was presented with this honor during the program organized under the 'Korea Consumer Brand Awards 2026'. The event was attended by distinguished personalities and brand representatives from various sectors.

According to the organizers, awards were presented in various categories based on consumer trust, social contribution, and diplomatic activism. In this sequence, Ambassador Tumbahangphe was reportedly given the 'Best Ambassador Award' in evaluation of her role in strengthening relations between Nepal and South Korea.

Receiving the award, Ambassador Tumbahangphe expressed her commitment to further deepening Nepal-Korea relations. High-level representatives from the Korean side were also present at the program.

Cooperation between Nepal and South Korea has been expanding in the areas of labor, education, trade, and cultural exchange.
