Independent Candidate Mahabir Pun Claims Voters Are Funding His Election Campaign

Mahabir Pun, an independent candidate contesting the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, has stated that voters themselves are covering his election expenses.

He wrote on social media: While going door-to-door seeking votes in the villages, the voters are giving me money as election funds. It is often heard that candidates distribute money to seek votes. In my case, they are giving me money instead.

Pun also committed to transparently publishing all accounts of the donations received. He mentioned that in many villages, the public is also sponsoring his food and lodging, not just providing money.
