National Democracy Day Celebrated Across Nepal with Various Programs

Kathmandu. National Democracy Day is being celebrated across the country with various programs. This day commemorates the end of the autocratic Rana regime through a popular revolution, following the sacrifice of martyrs Dasharath Chand, Dharmabhakta Mathema, Gangalal Shrestha, and Shukraraj Shastri, who willingly gave up their lives.

With the establishment of democracy, Nepali citizens have been exercising their rights through a federal democratic republican system. The popular revolution of 2007 BS is considered to have laid a strong foundation for institutionalizing democratic values and practices constitutionally.

The main organizing committee has arranged a special program today at the Tundikhel Army Parade Ground in Kathmandu.
