Western Low-Pressure System Partially Affecting Nepal's Weather Forecast

Kathmandu. The Department of Meteorology Forecasting has stated that a western low-pressure system is currently having a partial impact on Nepal. Due to this influence, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are generally experiencing cloudy conditions, while the remaining hilly regions have partial cloud cover, and the weather in other areas is mostly clear.

This afternoon, the mountainous regions of the country will be generally cloudy, and the remaining areas will have partial cloud cover. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions. Fog and mist will persist in a few places in the Terai region during the morning hours.

Tonight, Koshi and Bagmati provinces, along with the remaining mountainous regions, will be generally cloudy. Madhes Province and the remaining hilly regions will have partial cloud cover, and the weather in the rest of the areas will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The department stated that haze will persist in a few places in the Terai region.
