Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Pledges Five Years Focused on Nation Building

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that the party will move forward with a plan to dedicate the next five years to nation-building. Thapa made these remarks on Wednesday during an interaction organized by the Intellectual Professionals Campaign Council in Kathmandu.

Acknowledging past failures to utilize opportunities effectively, he emphasized that the plan for the next five years is to move forward with nation-building while ensuring the country avoids any major setbacks and includes everyone.

President Thapa informed that the party's manifesto also includes a plan to deliver results after five years. He stated that the Congress, drawing inspiration from various historical events, wishes to take on the responsibility of building the country that today's youth desire. He stressed the need to disseminate the Congress's agendas down to the grassroots level, asserting that the Congress is the oldest party capable of building the nation.

He further stated that they have entered the elections guaranteeing reforms, as Nepal currently requires them. He expressed the view that the Congress will lead the effort to unite all political parties to build the nation.

President Thapa asserted that the transformed Congress is capable of preventing democracy from being hijacked, ensuring delivery, and achieving results.
