Cyclist Killed in Truck Collision in Itahari, Sunsari

Sunsari. A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck in Itahari, Sunsari. District Police Office spokesperson Chandra Khadka informed that Kumar Shrestha, 40, of Sundarharaicha, Morang, who was riding a bicycle, was fatally struck by a truck bearing registration number Province 1-02-002 Kha 0592 traveling towards Dharan from the main chowk of Itahari today at approximately 5:50 PM. He died on the spot.

Police stated that the body of the deceased, Shrestha, has been brought to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for post-mortem examination. Police have taken the truck driver, Dil Bahadur Magar, 27, of Tehrathum, into custody and are further investigating the incident.
