Bollywood Actor Rajpal Yadav Released from Tihar Jail in Cheque Bounce Case

Kathmandu. Bollywood's famous actor Rajpal Yadav has been released from Delhi's Tihar Jail in a cheque bounce case. He was released from jail on Tuesday after completing the legal process following receiving interim bail from the High Court. Speaking to the media after coming out of jail, he stated that he would respond to all the allegations against him. He thanked the court and expressed gratitude to his supporters who stood by him during his difficult time.
Rajpal had taken a loan of 50 million Indian Rupees from Murali Projects Private Limited in 2010 to make the film 'Ata Pata Laapata'. However, after the film flopped, he faced financial difficulties and could not repay the loan on time. A complaint was filed against him after the cheque he issued while taking the loan bounced. Although a settlement was reached between both parties earlier, the payment could not be made, which increased the burden of the loan along with interest.
In this very case, the Karkardooma court in Delhi sentenced him to six months in jail in 2018. In compliance with that order, he surrendered to Tihar Jail on February 5.

Rajpal, who is about to complete 30 years in Bollywood in 2027, assured that in the coming days he will resolve his legal issues and return to work.
