President Paudel Calls for Successful Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has called upon everyone to make the upcoming House of Representatives election successful. Addressing the greeting exchange program organized by the Federal Committee of the Nepal Sherpa Association at Shital Niwas on Tuesday on the occasion of Gyalpo Lhosar, President Paudel stated that elections are the appropriate means to ascertain the mandate of the people in a democracy, and he called on everyone to ensure the success of the election scheduled for Falgun 21.

He opined that Nepal's indigenous festivals have significantly contributed to enhancing mutual harmony, unity, friendship, and fraternity. He stated that it is everyone's shared responsibility to preserve the unique Nepali identity while strengthening the spirit of national unity.

Furthermore, President Paudel mentioned that peace, stability, and national unity in the country will be further consolidated through good governance leading to prosperity. He noted that among Nepal's various ethnic groups, which possess unique geographical cultures spanning the Himalayas, hills, and Terai, the Sherpa community, with its distinct traditions, culture, civilization, and identity, has made a significant contribution to enhancing the pride and prestige of Nepal and Nepalis.

He expressed happiness that the Sherpa community, which spread from the Himalayan region of Nepal for centuries, has played a remarkable role in enhancing the prestige not only of their community but also of Nepal and Nepalis worldwide. Gyalpo Lhosar is being celebrated on Falgun 6, Wednesday.
