Over 14,000 Staff to Be Deployed for House of Representatives Election in Gandaki Province

Pokhara. More than 14,000 staff will be deployed for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 in Gandaki Province.

Rudra Prasad Neupane, Information Officer at the Provincial Election Office Pokhara, informed that 14,376 staff, six per polling station, will be deployed across 2,396 polling stations in the 11 districts of the province.

He stated that each polling station will have one Election Officer and one Assistant Election Officer, three support staff, one office assistant, and three volunteers.

The management of staff is being carried out through the Chief Electoral Officer's offices in the districts. The office has announced that selected Election Officers, Assistant Election Officers, and other staff will be trained before being sent to the polling stations.

Across all 11 districts of Gandaki Province, there are 1,297 polling locations and 2,396 polling stations. The province has 1,807,065 registered voters.

Kaski has the highest number of voters with 308,572, while Manang has the lowest with 7,000 voters. Syangja has 248,816, Tanahun has 254,397, Nawalpur has 268,526, Gorkha has 229,058, and Baglung has 193,181 voters.

Similarly, Lamjung has 137,124, Parbat has 125,466, Myagdi has 86,397, and Mustang has 11,338 voters. Out of the total voters in the province, 914,535 are male, 955,516 are female, and 14 are listed as 'other'.

In the House of Representatives election in Gandaki Province in BS 2079, there were 1,662,246 voters. In the current election, 207,819 new voters have been added. Gandaki has 18 constituencies for the House of Representatives election.
