Suspicious Object Found in Hetauda Amidst Nepal Bandh Called by CPN (Maoist)

Makwanpur. Amidst the Nepal Bandh (general strike) called by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) today (Tuesday), a suspicious object was discovered in Hetauda, Makwanpur. The suspicious object, marked with the word 'Danger,' was found in Chisapani, Ward No. 16 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.

The discovered suspicious object was disposed of by a team from the Nepali Army. Around 5:15 AM, a police mobile motorcycle patrol team dispatched from the Temporary Police Post, Hatiya, found a suspicious object in the middle of the Dharan-Chatara road section. The object, wrapped in white cloth, had the word 'Danger' written on the outside.

The presence of the suspicious object in the middle of the road briefly obstructed vehicular movement on that section of the road. The police secured the area and coordinated with the Nepali Army for disposal. District Police Office Makwanpur Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati informed that the Nepali Army safely disposed of the suspicious object at 8:10 AM.

He stated that traffic has resumed on that road section following the disposal. He added that the police are conducting necessary investigations into who placed the object and for what purpose.
