CPN-UML Lists 30 Reasons Why Voters Must Cast Ballot for Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli

Jhapa. The CPN-UML has put forward 30 reasons why voters must cast their ballot for Chairman KP Sharma Oli. The appeal, published by the party's Jhapa Constituency No. 5 Regional Committee, covers issues ranging from the defense of national sovereignty to the rationalization of teacher positions.

The appeal, titled "Why Vote for KP Sharma Oli," states that Oli must be elected to boost morale that has been flagging in the country. "Votes must be cast for Oli to end the atmosphere of fear prevailing in the country and guarantee peace and security for all Nepalis," the appeal states. "An appeal is made to vote for KP Oli to complete the unfinished development projects initiated in Jhapa 5."

The UML's appeal calls for voting for Oli to provide technical education to the youth, foster skill-based development among them, and enhance self-employment opportunities. It also requests votes for KP Oli to revitalize the sluggish economy and achieve self-sufficiency in food production by developing the agricultural sector.

An appeal has also been made to vote for Oli to complete the construction of the under-construction Asian Highway, the Mid-Hill Highway, the Madan Bhandari Highway, and the Postal Highway. Furthermore, the UML has issued an appeal demanding the election of Chairman Oli to complete the construction of the Damak-Rabi Road-Chisapani Road, which is a main economic and human resource artery for Damak, thereby improving the living standards of the people.

"Oli must be elected from this constituency to complete the construction of the Nepal-China Friendship Industrial Park," the appeal states. "Votes must be cast for Oli to modernize Damak, Gauradaha, and Gauriganj markets and develop them as smart cities."

The UML has also requested votes for Oli to resolve the problems faced by the landless, Dalits, squatters, and those living in unplanned settlements. According to UML Central Committee member Deepak Karki, an appeal has been made to the general voters to elect Oli to complete the embankment work on rivers such as Ratuwa, Mawa, and Kamal.

Similarly, Karki stated that an appeal was made to vote for Oli to expand accessible services in hospitals across all local levels of Damak, Gauradaha, and Gauriganj. "KP Oli and Jhapa 5 are complementary to each other," Karki said. "The development works he has carried out, the voters he knows personally, and his closeness with the shelter providers during his underground days ensure that he will win the election easily."

According to Karki, the appeal was issued by the party to remind voters of Chairman Oli's actions and achievements.

"Since the appeal covers the main issues, it has also served as an easy material for party workers going door-to-door to explain matters to the voters," Karki said. "Such appeals are distributed, at least 1,500 per ward based on household numbers."
