President Directs Enhanced Security Measures for Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has directed that security arrangements for conducting the upcoming elections in a clean, impartial, and fear-free environment be made strong, robust, and effective. He also expressed confidence that the government would pay special attention to managing the necessary resources, means, and manpower for this purpose.

President Paudel issued this directive during a meeting with the Home Minister and the heads of all four security agencies at the President's Office, Shital Niwas, on Friday evening.

"Elections, the appropriate means to understand the people's mandate in a democracy, provide an exit from the current state of the country; therefore, the government and security agencies will leave no stone unturned to conduct these elections in a fear-free environment," informed Kiran Pokharel, the Press Advisor to President Paudel. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Chief of the Nepali Army Ashok Raj Sigdel, Chief of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Chief of the Armed Police Force Nepal Raju Aryal, and Chief of the National Investigation Department Tekendra Karki.
