Locals in Baglung Surrender Licensed Firearms Following Administration's Call

Baglung. In response to the call from the local administration, locals in Baglung have surrendered 42 licensed firearms to the authorities.

According to the District Administration Office, locals surrendered weapons including muzzle-loading guns and shotguns. Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Acharya informed that the process of surrendering weapons is ongoing. He reiterated his appeal to everyone possessing firearms to submit them to the police administration before the elections.

Warning that licenses would be revoked for non-compliance, he requested people to surrender their weapons at the nearest police post or a security agency convenient for them. 

Previously, the District Administration had recovered 115 unlicensed firearms through a search operation.
