Western Winds Bring Partial Cloud Cover Across Nepal, Fog Expected in Terai Regions

Kathmandu. The Department of Meteorology Forecasting has stated that Nepal is currently under the general influence of the Western Winds.

Due to this influence, there is partial cloud cover in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the weather in the remaining areas is mainly clear.

This afternoon, fog and mist will persist in some parts of the Terai region until noon. There will generally be clouds in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with partial cloud cover in the remaining areas.

Tonight, there will be haze in a few locations in the Terai region. There will generally be clouds in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, with partial cloud cover in the rest of the regions.

The department has indicated a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by snowfall in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
