RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden Questions Kathmandu District Administration's Curfew Order Ahead of Royal Welcome

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has expressed objection to the prohibitory order issued by the Kathmandu District Administration Office. Chairman Lingden raised questions regarding the curfew imposed by the administration, which is targeted at the welcome program for former King Gyanendra Shah.

Chairman Lingden accused the administration's move of being aimed at spoiling the political atmosphere under the guise of ensuring election security. Taking to social media on Thursday, he questioned, 'Is the prohibitory order issued by the Kathmandu District Administration Office intended to prevent the disruption of elections, or is it intending to disrupt them itself? This must be clarified.'

He warned that the legitimacy of any system or rule ends if it begins to be used contrary to the spirit of the constitution and only according to the will of the rulers.
